About this artwork
"White, Horses, and Camargue" brings together a series of photographs taken in the spirit of performance dear to Manuela Noble, in terms of instinct, feeling, and follows on from "Pink, Birds and Camargue". This work, like all those in the series, evokes the attraction of soul, the ephemeral, the complexity of multiple parameters to arrive at a unique soup that has disappeared but was photographed. This time Manuela pretext the horse, the other best…
friend of the man to speak about environment, traditions and modernity on a sensitive and complex territory, and somewhere in the image of the artist. The miracle of the living.
"Mum!" is a young Camargue foal, born in May 2017, at the Conservatory for the protection of the Camargue horse breed.

« Make the invisible visible. The invisible is often what catches the eye. »
Manuela Noble is an award-winning French painter and photographer who has exhibited in solo and group events throughout France. Her figurative expressions in paint are representations of women and men who have been shifted from their usual cultural environment. In her photographs, Noble explores landscapes and the traces that humans leave behind, suggesting a force and underlying drama. She qualifies her photographs as ‘extractions’ and uses a digital camera with a 16-35mm lens.
