About this artwork
The American James Maury "Jim" Henson is the creator of the Muppets. Henson began experimenting with puppets specifically for television early in life. The Muppet Show is a British-American comedy series produced between 1976 and 1981, featuring the puppets called Muppets created by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. The most famous characters are Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy the Pig. Since I loved this show as a child, I just had to paint this picture with… the background I invented.
The picture was painted with acrylic paints and permanent marker and has been given a final varnish. The picture has also been given a final varnish.
Manuela Reitz mainly uses acrylic paints, sometimes in combination with watercolors. She uses experimental techniques, with quick, intuitive gestures and the targeted placement of accents with paint markers and black ink. Inspired by nature and childhood motifs, she creates pictures that can be read like books. Her art aims to generate happiness, to enable an emotional journey that touches the heart and makes you forget space and time.
