About this artwork
My image is a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II of the House of Windsor. She was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as 14 other sovereign states known as the Commonwealth realms, including their territories and dependent territories, from 1952 until her death in 2022 at the age of 96. Following the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz on January 23, 2015, Elizabeth became the world's oldest reigning monarch.…
The picture was painted with acrylic paints and paint markers on canvas and stretcher frame, hand-signed and dated 2022. The picture has also been given a final varnish.
Manuela Reitz mainly uses acrylic paints, sometimes in combination with watercolors. She uses experimental techniques, with quick, intuitive gestures and the targeted placement of accents with paint markers and black ink. Inspired by nature and childhood motifs, she creates pictures that can be read like books. Her art aims to generate happiness, to enable an emotional journey that touches the heart and makes you forget space and time.
