About this artwork
L'opera ,realizzata con tecnica mista acrilico e collage,.è dedicata alla guerra in Ucraina. Lo fa dedicando un omaggio alla cultura ucraina unita alla citazione del lavoro della pittrice russa Olga Suvorova. Quindi Ucraina e Russia insieme unite nella bellezza e nella pace. Di fronte al potere distruttivo della guerra, ho voluto ritrarre ciò che si sta perdendo:: la forza della pace veicolata dall'immagine femminile e la natura.

Ukrainian popular culture combined with the quote from the Russian painter Olga Suvorova. So Ukraine and Russia together united in beauty and peace.
Faced with the destructive power of war, I wanted to portray what is being lost: the strength of peace conveyed by the female image and nature.

I have always loved painting but my educational and professional paths led me to teach for 42 years. When I became an art teacher I felt legitimized to consider myself a painter and to search for my artistic identity. I began to exhibit in local galleries, then national ones. Receiving positive feedback, I expanded to international contexts such as the Luxembourg Art Prize, or the MEAM in Barcelona and others. I often paint women as protagonists capable of bringing their positivity and courage even in difficult and dramatic contexts. I am attracted by the wonder of nature in all its aspects. My work often combines acrylic color with fabrics through collage. It was the discovery of Mickalene Thomas's works that inspired me to experiment with this path. Fabric can enrich what I imagine. Its textures, its yarns, the different consistencies, the beautiful colors, have transformed and enriched my palette.
