About this artwork
This series, FLIGHT OF THE TREE, was born from meditating on this verse by the poet Henri Michaux:
"I saw a tree in a bird." I wanted to play with this almost shamanic mystery of transformation, this moment of passage where the tree becomes a bird.
In this work, I played with the intensity of blue and deep darkness to express a mysterious and powerful breath. This vibrant contrast evokes an energy that is both calm and lively, inviting inner meditation… where one can see this imaginary tree leaving the ground where it was rooted, perhaps to become a bird... This giclée print will, I hope, infuse any living space with invigorating energy and inspiring gentleness.
