About this artwork
Working with colour and texture is an area of practice and passion for artists and designers alike, and so it is for me. I wanted to incorporate several artists that I have admired throughout my career in a single piece. These artists included: Piet Mondrian, Jean Michel Basquiat, Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Joan Miro.
The application of colour and textures onto upcycled wood in conjuction with the artists I have mentioned and a taste of the… influence of their work has produced an interesting hybrid work of art, in my opinion.
This work comes ready to hang on a wall which is waiting for an injection of life and a unique talking point.

Marc Rayner is an Australian artist based in Sweden who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Sweden, Monaco, France, Qatar, Italy, India, South Korea, Denmark, and Japan. The key to his artworks is the creation of 'quasi-landscapes' rich in text and design, or flat and almost devoid of information. This 'distorted zone' is a place where Rayner's tormented, disenfranchised, and often unfortunate characters exist. He is drawn to outsider artistic styles and naive art in broader terms.
