This work is part of my series "Factory Fragments". As always, I paint an oath from one of my photographs taken in an industrial wasteland. This time it is the Mossley spinning mill in Hellemmes-Lille. It represents spools of thread on a winding machine.
In this work, I explored the bold fusion of colors and shapes that animate the pop art tradition with a modern twist. Using oil, each brush embodies a vibrant energy, capturing an almost musical… rhythmic movement through bold lines and contrasts. This painting is a celebration of joy and liveliness, intended to introduce an infectious dynamism into every space it inhabits. My intention was to create a visual symphony that awakens optimism and creativity in the beholder. Indeed, even in the face of the desolate spectacle of a factory wasteland, it is vital to summon the colors of preserved optimism.
