About this artwork
I have made a painting of a heath area before: Westerheide (100x120cm, sold). In the meantime my way of painting has evolved and I found it a challenge to make another painting inspired by this heathland, this time in a smaller size, 80x80cm. This painting is even more colorful than the previous one, which is especially apparent when you look at the details. From a distance, the impression is mainly… indeed: purple!
