About this artwork
Figures, swept away by the flow of existence, struggle, intersect, and pursue the chimera of meaning, already defeated at the outset. Along with them are natural elements: bird feathers, dry leaves, flowers, shells, and twigs fluttering in the wind of chance. Humans are on the same level as natural phenomena, captured in the midst of an action that forces them into a spasm, or in the act of getting up after a fall, or in attitudes that seem to be…
a reaction to pain, physical or psychological. The acentric, hierarchical space, the alternating painting and drawing, the finished and the unfinished, and a certain compositional agitation, are the traces of a "stream of consciousness" that finds expression in a corresponding pictorial conception.
