About this artwork
The sheets spread out in the sun bring joy, as if there was something to celebrate, and in this image the sheets have become a bit of brightly colored flags that recall the exoticism of distant countries but also the warmth of the summer sun. The geometry of the composition is conditioned by the horizontal lines of the threads for hanging the clothes, which in this case are a bit like the staves of the staff on which notes are alternating now strident…
and now consonants, between rests, intervals and tight rhythms just like in the language of colors / sounds. The grain of the wood was used as a background in order to enhance the color tones.
