About this artwork
Under the pines of a public park in Rome, on the grass that filters the intense light of a bright day, a sparkling trumpet is the protagonist of the picture. The subject of wind instruments is an old passion of the painter who has an entire collection of various styles and eras. The one represented is the first that was given to him by his father as an unusual graduation gift.
The painting technique is vaguely impressionist but with an expressive… use of the electric yellow color. The use of the large geometric signature as a graphic and decorative element is typical of the paintings of that period.
