About this artwork
In this work I fuse realism with surrealism to create a haunting scene. Using colored pencils I bring together the figurative and the symbolic, awaken emotions and play with perception. I invite the viewer to reflect on human nature and our role in the world. This drawing is intended to bring an intense, thoughtful energy to any home.

Marco Spitzar is an award-winning draftsman whose works have been featured in several solo exhibitions in Austria. He believes that we are born glued to the world, detached and heavy from imprints and stories to which we stick. Spitzar has used UHU adhesive in his the creation of his compositions for over forty-years, making new surface structures that also allow his imagery to remain transparent.
