About this artwork
In my artwork I mix realism with surrealism and use colored pencils to convey a powerful message. The representation of figurative and symbolic elements is intended to point out the strength and fragility of humans. It brings an energy of reflection and mystery to any space, provoking thought and testifying to the complex nature of our existence.

Marco Spitzar is an award-winning draftsman whose works have been featured in several solo exhibitions in Austria. He believes that we are born glued to the world, detached and heavy from imprints and stories to which we stick. Spitzar has used UHU adhesive in his the creation of his compositions for over forty-years, making new surface structures that also allow his imagery to remain transparent.
