About this artwork
When I began painting Yin and Yang, I was reflecting on those moments when stress and anger took over. I realized that this only happens when we lose touch with our energy and fall out of balance. As you may know, every person has both masculine and feminine energies within them, and balancing these energies is essential for our well-being.
Yin represents feminine energy, promoting introspection, nurturing, and healing. Yang represents masculine… energy, bringing dynamism, warmth, and activity. Each person, regardless of gender, embodies both Yin and Yang energies and finds a way to express and balance them.
In this painting, I aimed to represent my Yin and Yang energies through two Siamese fish arranged in the shape of the Yin-Yang symbol. My Yin is the dark fish, while my Yang is the orange one. When I find myself out of balance, it’s usually because I’m neglecting my Yin energy—often by not painting enough or not practicing self-compassi
