This piece is a spell to mend a broken heart. As roses bloomed around me with their delicate fragrance, my heart softened and tears were shed- it took six weeks to complete. With its properties of promoting emotional healing, self-love, and inner peace, dry hibiscus was added to the paint as a physical reference to the process, and homemade rose water was used to dilute the paints.
