About this artwork
"Hard to queer" is an illustration made with colored pencils (Faber Castell polychromos) on A4 paper, inspired by a self-portrait of the artist Nathan Selighini @nathanselighini wearing a dress created by himself, inspired by a creation by Jean Paul Gaultier: “Barbès” (women's ready-to-wear fall-winter collection of 1984–85, worn by Tanel Bedrossiantz and photographed in 1992 by Paolo Roversi). of the Queer and LGBTQIA+ community that must daily face the numerous rejections, aggressiveness and negative judgment of society and its need not to deviate from the norm and tradition.
