About this artwork
This work captures the still moment of a morning in Indonesia, when nature is shrouded in gentle mist. The modern color nuances and panoramic perspective convey a sense of peace and expansiveness. I wanted to depict the calming power of nature, which acts like a silent embrace and puts every viewer in a peaceful mood. It brings a harmonious, meditative energy to any space.
Marie Konzelmann uses painting, photography, and printmaking, drawing on her extensive training at the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts. Her techniques range from intuitive acrylic and mixed media to documentary-poetic photography, combining abstract and figurative elements with strong contrasts and atmospheric lighting. Her works blend nature and emotion into a mirror of inner and outer landscapes, inviting the viewer to discover longing, melancholy, and hidden vitality in quiet intensity.
