About this artwork
This abstract duo shares strength, will, and hope. In this sculpted work, I sought to capture the contrast between the robustness of terracotta and the delicacy of human emotions. The sculpture is made of white chamotte stoneware; it is a unique piece, signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Marie-Madeleine Vitrolles is a sculptor based in France whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Switzerland and Luxembourg. While her pieces are mostly centered around women, it is the human being that challenges her. Through her art, Vitrolles endeavors to show the multifaceted aspects of her subject's inner worlds. Evolving between classical representation and the purification of forms, she primarily sculpts in clay.
