About this artwork

Are you ready to go back to the office? At your cubicle instead of working from home? Working with a nice shirt and sweatpant? I am one of the lucky one to always working from home in my studio. I quit my office job many years ago and would never go back. I always had a feeling of dying slowly in front of a computer, now I can fly and I am free like a bird.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
