My painting, *Sister,* captures that connection—the beauty, the loss, and the love that endures. The polka dots represent the millions of secrets… we share, the gold symbolizes our golden moments, and the bold lines reflect the difficulties we’ve faced together. It’s a reminder to cherish those bonds, for the love they bring lives on, even when separated by loss or distance.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
