About this artwork

Ironically started with a major depression which developed into anxiety disorder. I had to stay home and I abandoned my working career. I was stuck at home, alone, depressed and the only thing I could do, and knew what to do, was to painting. My subjects were mostly flowers and mountains and were painted on small canvases.
To succeed you have to practice, practice and practice again. Since that period of my life I never stop practicing. My passion… as an artist has elevated me past the depression stage, I feel accomplished and very happy. I paint everyday and I am very proud to say that my paintings are selling all over the world. I know that I will create until the end. What is your success story?

Marie Manon Corbeil is a Canadian contemporary artist whose vibrant paintings are represented in private collections across 23 countries. Having sold more than 1,000 original artworks in 23 countries throughout her career, she has built a strong international reputation for creating emotionally engaging paintings that combine expressive colour, intuitive mark-making, and a distinctive visual language.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Marie creates uplifting works that celebrate happiness, empowerment, and the strength of women.

Marie gained international recognition through Singulart, where she became one of the platform’s top-selling artists, with more than 300 original paintings acquired by collectors worldwide. Her work has been exhibited internationally in Paris, London, and Vienna.
