Wait for me! I am dedicated this painting to all the moms who passed too early and in my case too quickly! The last words I said to my mom where ´wait for me ´…je t’aime maman. Here in a few words what happened; I received a call mid afternoon from my brother that our mom is at the hospital. He told me that she felt and hurt her head on a table.. and by dinner time he call me back to tell me that the doctor told him that mom won’t survive. I live… 4000 kilometres away and was not able to go and see her before she past. I called her and told her « mom, please wait for me , I will be there tomorrow morning…but she make it..

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
