About this artwork
The picture shows a young mother in a refugee shelter, surrounded by her belongings in garbage bags. This woman lives in very difficult conditions, but the only thing that matters right now is her baby, whom she loves dearly and for whom she wishes a better life in safety.
I painted the picture in a somewhat abstract style, using very strong colors to further emphasize the message.
It was shown in the “ÜberLeben” exhibition in Bergkamen in 2026.
