An ancient breath. A sacred substance. A silent truth.
Obsidian Breath is a living work, a mineral pulse between shadow and light.
It embodies the meeting of fire and earth, of night and awakening.
Its vibrant, hand-sculpted relief captures every nuance of light like molten volcanic rock.
Depending on your mood, the lighting, or the chosen orientation, the artwork transforms:
a deep green emerges from the darkness, an incandescent brown pulses… silently, an intense black calls to you.
It doesn't represent. It reveals. An inner world, a raw energy, a still breath that speaks to the soul. Obsidian Breath is not contemplated. It is listened to.
Magical peculiarity: 4 orientations, 2 readings. One single painting, four facets of yourself.
Thanks to its integrated invisible hooks, you can hang the artwork in four different positions.
Each rotation reveals a new balance, a new vibration.
Born in Riga in 1983, Maria Ruisi is an artist, researcher and artistic director of the Abstract Art Gallery, founded in 2010. Her practice is rooted in sculptural abstraction — a multi-stage process combining acrylic, resin, and metallic pigments in three-dimensional relief. Each work is born from rigorous research into material, depth, and spatial perception. Trained in fine arts and interior design, she has been developing a unique visual language for fifteen years: surfaces that breathe, forms that command silence. His works are integrated into contemporary residences, architectural spaces and private collections across Europe and the world. Every day, new works are born in his Riga studio.
