About this artwork
In this piece, the shapes follow the circular format to create movement and energy: an image of sea life inundated with floating debris. She added passages of pigment while this cotton sheet was forming, and printed and collaged her prints onto the surface when the paper was dry. She added acrylic washes to heighten the color. The paper is quite thick.

« My artwork is fuelled by my concerns about environmentally destructive practices, I use the materiality of paper and print to present images of beauty while offering reflections on destruction. »

Each piece represents interdependence, continuity, and interconnectedness amidst fragmentation. Working with a variety of materials her artworks are a collage of vivid colors and intricate details, puzzles which fit together to form an emotive and inspirational whole. A potent window into the undersea world.
