« My artwork is fuelled by my concerns about environmentally destructive practices, I use the materiality of paper and print to present images of beauty while offering reflections on destruction. »
American artist Marilyn Propp's artwork is inspired by the meditative spiritual connection found in nature, and an unfailing concern for living things and their environments. Each piece represents interdependence, continuity, and interconnectedness amidst fragmentation. Her artworks are enthused with energy and make powerful statements about the fragility of the environment and the role of the individual in contemporary society.
Working with a variety of materials her artworks are a collage of vivid colors and intricate details, puzzles which fit together to form an emotive and inspirational whole. A potent window into the undersea world.
