About this artwork
"GRUS II" I again produced a painting that was part of the solo exhibition held over 2 months (July/August/2024) in the rooms of the Caja de Cristal, Casa Central del Banco Ciudad
From Buenos Aires, and as with all the works I've created over the last few years, I want to represent the constructions for human habitation in the colonization of planets near Earth, starting with the Moon, Earth's natural satellite, and continuing with another planet… where research into possible conditions has progressed—I'm referring to Mars. In all my designs, I aim to move the observer by awakening sensations of speed, peace, and weightlessness.
and silence.
Mario Agatiello is a painter who works primarily with acrylic paints on canvas stretched over a wooden frame and framed in a durable, shiny gold anodized aluminum frame. His style is characterized by the technical mastery of depicting human constructions in space, using brushes, rulers, and compasses to achieve precise forms and gradated colors. His works evoke an atmosphere of silence, suspended movement, and weightlessness, conveying a profound sense of peace and contemplation.
