About this artwork
With this work, I wanted to capture the restless and mysterious essence of a cat through a vibrant fusion of cubism and expressionism. I use intense colors and broken shapes to convey a nervous, almost irreverent energy. Imagine this work enlivening a room with a mix of tension and fascination, emanating an atmosphere of curiosity and emotional depth.
This painting shows an interesting evolution compared to the others: here, the Cubist language… is applied to an animal subject, creating a much more dramatic and symbolic image. The influence of Pablo Picasso's Cubism is still perceptible, but there is also a more modern dimension, almost approaching the visionary tension of Francis Bacon in its emotional intensity and expressive distortion.

The composition is built on a strong diagonal axis that crosses the painting from left to right.
