About this artwork
My painting depicts a city in crisis or transformation, where everything appears fragmented, unstable, almost on the verge of collapse. It's not just a physical collapse, but also a social, emotional, and psychological one.
The people in the painting are disjointed, geometric, almost mechanical.
they have fragmented and multiple faces
they appear confused, disoriented, or isolated.
They represent the loss of identity in the urban environment…
the difficulty of communicating
the alienation of modern man.
On the right side you can see buildings and urban structures:
they seem rigid but also fragile
They are incorporated into the chaos of the figures. The city is not a backdrop, but part of the problem:
it becomes a place that oppresses or destabilizes those who live there.
