About this artwork
In this work, I captured the mystical essence of the blue hour, that fleeting moment when day gives way to night. Using matte vinyl Flashe paint, I painted a dynamic sky where moving clouds seem to dance beneath a deep blue sky.
The elongated horizontal format offers us an almost panoramic view of this Breton horizon. The moment is peaceful, the painting invites us to contemplate it as if we were there. A few billowy clouds cross the sky. Between… them, stars appear. A group of birds flies towards the horizon. In the foreground the black silhouettes of rock close the composition.
Each brushstroke is imbued with emotion and is meant to evoke tranquility and reflection. This painting will bring a touch of serenity and deep inspiration to any living space.
Marion Broca, a versatile artist, uses acrylic, pastel and gouache, enriched by her experiences in illustration. Playing with the line and the colored form, she seeks a balance between the figurative and the abstract, capturing the essence of still lifes, portraits and landscapes. Her painting is an invitation to a poetic contemplation, a decoding of the world hidden behind the assembled elements and the colorful atmospheres.
