About this artwork
I wanted to capture the special light of that moment when the sun emerges from behind the clouds. I worked with gouache to convey the rough texture of the rocks and the softness of the water. I started it outdoors and finished it in the studio based on the photographs I had taken of that moment.
This realistic landscape pays homage to the silent nature, filled with contained emotions, inviting contemplation and inner peace. This work will bring… a calm and soothing energy to your interior, an inspiring sea breeze.
