About this artwork
The title is no coincidence: verticality is not only a compositional element, but also symbolic. Each line seems like a fragment of thought, a memory, or a wound sliding downward, or perhaps rising, defying the gravity of time and memory. The movement is fluid but never random, as if each drop had a precise emotional weight.
The vibrant and visceral color scheme amplifies the sense of profound introspection. Yellow—often a symbol of light or hope—mixes… here with darker hues, suggesting that even clarity arises from shadow. My work invites the viewer to pause, to reflect on the verticality of their emotions, recognizing that what flows on the surface has invisible roots deeper beneath.
"Verticale Interiore" is, ultimately, a non-figurative portrait of the human soul: tormented, luminous, multi-layered. An invitation to look not only at what you see, but also at what you feel in the silence of your own inner self.

"My painting is born from gesture. Through color, texture, and movement, I try to make visible energies and emotions that have no precise form, but that we can all perceive."
My research develops through multiple artistic lines, which I consider complementary tools for expressing visions, emotions, and complex reflections. I primarily use paint on canvas and wood, ranging from abstraction, religious symbolism, and the female nude, with a particular focus on the theme of violence against women.
I'm convinced that being an artist today also means taking the freedom to explore, to reject rigid labels, and to construct a profoundly authentic language. "I don't create decorations: I create emotions to be owned.
