About this artwork
"Gallo" is a work in which the figure of the animal becomes a symbol of presence, identity, and rebirth. I chose to depict it against the light, with an intense and compact silhouette, because what interests me is not a realistic depiction, but the strength of its character. Red and white vibrations emerge from the dark lines, almost internal pulsations, suggesting energy, vitality, and restrained movement.
The deliberately understated contrast… with the gray background allows the subject to assert itself more decisively. The dawn light, rendered with free brushstrokes of yellow and pink, introduces a warm tension and a moment of transition: it is the moment when night opens to a new day. This dialogue between shadow and color gives rise to the work's narrative: an invitation to silent determination, to the ability to endure and emerge with authenticity.
As in many of my works, here too the pictorial gesture remains the protagonist: the material suggests emotions.

Art has always lived within me, like an invisible thread that has run through every stage of my life. I'm a self-taught artist: I've learned through books, documentaries, observation, and research, letting myself be guided by curiosity and wonder.
Life has led me through different worlds: for twenty-five years among flowers, then in the metalworking industry as an office worker, on the roads driving a truck, and among vineyards and the earth. Flowers, Steel, and Earth have left profound marks on my way of feeling: delicacy, strength, and substance.
Today, abstraction and acrylic are my language. Through color, I transform what I can't express into emotion, light, energy, and movement.
I believe a work should speak to the heart first, not the mind. That's why I paint joy and beauty, but also the wounds of our time, particularly violence against women.
I paint what I can't say and let the color tell the story.
