About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to combine the sweetness of the sacred with the power of nature. I chose to paint the Madonna and Child on a piece of wood because I felt that this living material, with its grain and imperfections, could convey the simplicity and depth of motherhood better than any canvas.
Wood, with its history and energy, inspired me to create a Madonna, serene and absorbed, immersed in an atmosphere of peace. I didn't want to hide the… material, but rather let it breathe, allowing the fibers to become part of the face, of the light surrounding the Child.
I chose warm, soft colors that conveyed love and protection. Each brushstroke was a gesture of tenderness, a way to express the profound bond between mother and child, between heaven and earth.
For me, this Madonna and Child is a symbol of harmony: the divine coming closer, the spirituality born from matter, the beauty emerging from simplicity.
I consider myself a multifaceted artist by choice. This doesn't limit me, it liberates me without boundaries. I express myself through painting. My research develops through multiple artistic lines, which I consider complementary tools for expressing visions, emotions, and complex reflections. I primarily paint on canvas and wood, ranging from abstraction, religious symbolism, and the female nude, with a particular focus on the theme of violence against women. The multiplicity of languages I adopt isn't fragmentation, but an integral part of a coherent vision. I believe that being an artist today also means taking the freedom to explore, to reject rigid labels, and to construct a profoundly authentic language. "I don't create decorations: I create emotions to be owned. From abstract to figurative, each of my works is created for those who desire art that strikes, moves, and lingers. MY VERSATILITY IS MY SIGNATURE.
