About Gameboys: We were wondering trough the streets and squares of Vienna (2018). At every touristic site in Vienna tourist flocked as pigeons in large groups. There were many Asian youngsters present at the time. Accidentally they became… subject of some of my paintings (see: L.C.D and Window Shopping) like Game Boys. The majority of the spotted youngsters (and adults) were inexhaustible picturing mainly them selves and secondary something touristic on the background. These boys, in my picture, were actually an exception in this case, they had no interest in the environment at all. They disappeared in their screens in front of them. Eyes were locked, everything else locked out. That’s why I could photograph them without them noticing me.
