About this artwork
"The Gate" is a work of 2017 made with mixed media on a wooden support where a circle in low relief creates a sort of portal to the sky. It seems to look at the skylight of the dome of a Roman church where the Renaissance frescoes create a sort of vortex that leads to the sky. the sensation of movement leads to the light represented with yellow colors in the center of the picture. There is a strong feeling of movement within the work.
