Painted with reference to the Grand Palais in Paris, 'A Fragile Geometry' sits on the border between paint and place, illusion and gesture. With all additional features and ornament pared away, the grandness of the structure is revealed, its iron framed roof bringing to mind half remembered childhood images of dinosaur bones, alongside an architecture steeped in history and invention.
