« There's an inherent melancholy in my work, as each image represents something already gone. It is the seeing of things for the last time. »
Mark Thompson is a prize-winning artist from Sweden whose work has featured in exhibitions, publications and permanent collections in the US, UK, Sweden and Germany. Working with the twin subjects of architecture and landscape, he creates artistic remnants of places and moments, capturing images from memory, catching what he can before it all fades.
