Painted on a birch wood panel, Arduous Clarity depicts a tributary flowing into the sea at Topsail Beach in Newfoundland. It's modest size allowed a very physical handling of the paint, and the relative scales seem just right. The panel has clean white sides and is ready to hang with no further framing.
