About this artwork
Nude 21 belongs to my continuing series of figurative paintings that explore intimacy, stillness and emotional presence. The body becomes a language through which quiet emotions can be expressed without narrative.
I avoid idealised representations of the human figure. Instead, I paint instinctively, allowing colour, distortion and gesture to shape the emotional atmosphere. The reclining pose suggests both openness and introspection, inviting the… viewer to slow down and reflect.
Rather than telling a complete story, I leave space for individual interpretation, believing that each viewer brings their own memories and emotions to the work.
