About this artwork
In the city of lights we dwell around. -RED
In crafting this artwork, I was captivated by the juxtaposition of urban modernity and fluid motion. This photograph is a gateway to another dimension, emphasizing the vibrant, yet enigmatic passage that urban dwellers traverse daily. The striking orange hues envelop the viewer, suggesting warmth amidst steel and glass. It’s not just a pathway, but a dance of light and texture, inviting one to pause and… discover the beauty intertwined with the city’s pulse. This piece emanates dynamic energy, transforming any space into a focal point of contemplation and modern elegance.
Remember, the city of lights [Eindhoven - the Netherlands] offers a wealth of inspiration and opportunities for creating beautiful artwork. Embrace the unique atmosphere, I took advantage of the city's illuminated streets, landmarks, and architecture during the nighttime.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Martijn Walet employs narrative photography, capturing the stark beauty of urban decay as an artist. He meticulously invites viewers into a once energetic world, now silenced and abandoned. Each photograph renders a poignant tale, a frozen moment in history, enshrined in grim elegance. His urban art redefines accessibility, bridging the gap between intellectual elitism and popular sentiment. His photographs evoke a haunting feeling of nostalgia, pulling at heartstrings with their silently voiced stories of elements left behind. Walet’s work embodies a unique blend of melancholy and beauty, a bittersweet homage to the dialogue between transience and permanence. "Encounter an unique glimpse into the world of the abandoned, in to urbex or urban exploring"
