About this artwork
This artwork is inspired by one of the most famous Martini Racing Porsches in history – the 1977 Le Mans winning Porsche 936.
The Martini Porsche 936 also went on to finish overall 2nd again in1978 and ended up competing at Le Mans as a works entry car on five separate occasions during the years of 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1981.
The 936 ‘prototype Porsches’ evolved each year that they were re-entered by Porsche for Le Mans, with on-going upgrades… and advances being made to both the technical specification.
This original artwork is oil on linen and 60 x 80cm.
