ONE SQUARE MILE - XXGREEN
The artist was concerned with the question of how nature changes as a result of exogenous forces. The resulting images, summarized under the project name ONE SQUARE MILE, are impressive witnesses to the most diverse natural forces that create landscapes: wind, sun, water, ice enable this continuous process of development. With processes documented for over a decade, the artist reveals the exogenous forces that often covertly… and imperceptibly shape landscapes. In contrast to this, suddenly occurring exogenous forces that change everything completely with tremendous force.
This work comes as a lightbox! The work is backlit and framed in an approximately 8cm deep frame.

Martin Ecker is a painter and photographer based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally. He cites space, time, and light playing a role in almost all of his compositions. In addition, Ecker's artistic practice favors experimentation with reactive processes and approaches. He has developed his own methods using living organisms in analog photography and also employs oxidation processes of precious metals his paintings.
