About this artwork
My work is a reflection meditation on the sublime, melancholy, and speculative wonder, using birds as signifiers of beauty, mortality, and diversity.
Embedded in my work are the traditions of the meticulous processes of drawing and printmaking which I use to create contemporary images that carry paradoxical imagery such as birds in bottles, trees with skeletal branches, or birds with words and skulls embedded in their plumage, to name a few.
