An astronaut drifts weightlessly through an old-world corridor, suspended not in space but in something more elusive - memory, perhaps? The architecture whispers of centuries past: frescoed ceilings, thick doors ajar, and a countryside view that once promised simplicity. And yet, here he is suited for vacuum, floating through plaster and plastered history.
This is not a homecoming but a mis-landing.
A return to a place that no longer knows him.
A… figure built for frontiers finds himself adrift among faded grandeur, as though the universe has folded back into an old Italian villa.
The painting depicts a meditation on dislocation - emotional, historical, and spatial. It suggests that the real alienation begins not when we leave Earth, but when we try to return to the world we thought we knew.
