My work "Lullaby" is about the wishful magic of a lullaby sung by the singer to the sleeping child snuggled against his shoulder. A highly abstracted depiction of a protective hand, which also serves as the blanket, is placed over the little one's head. Visual allusions to an elephant (trunk) are also incorporated…because the elephant has long been a symbol of positive forces such as faithfulness, loyalty, strength, and compassion in many cultures.…
