About this artwork
The richly structured surface of the image gives the landscape an authentic texture and depth that captures and fascinates the viewer's eye. The warm grey and blue tones help to create a calm aura that makes the scenery seem calming despite its barrenness and inhospitableness.
Smoking volcanoes add an additional dimension of movement and dynamism to the image, while simultaneously highlighting the power of nature. The color palette is predominantly… earthy and sandy, with few green tones.

I primarily work with acrylic paint and mixed media to create abstract compositions consisting of multiple layers and textured surfaces. My process involves combining paint with texture pastes, gels, and paper collage elements, allowing the surface to gradually evolve through accumulation and transformation. Nature and the universe are important sources of inspiration for my work. I am interested in the complexity and diversity of natural structures and in how organic forms emerge and interact. Through layering and texture, I strive to create visual spaces that suggest growth, movement, and transformation. Color plays a central role in my paintings. I use bold and vibrant tones to create depth and energy and to allow the traces of each layer to remain visible. I live and work in Stuttgart.
