About this artwork
"Chavon II" est née d’un souvenir— celui d’un lieu chaud, vibrant, où les contrastes de lumière sculptent l’espace comme des émotions brutes. Cette composition abstraite est un dialogue entre le rouge passionnel, l’orange incandescent et les profondeurs du vert. Chaque forme est pensée comme une île, un fragment d’architecture intérieure, un écho d’un paysage que l’on porte en soi.
Je peins à l’instinct, guidé par la couleur. Dans "Chavon II", les… lignes ne cherchent pas à représenter, elles cherchent à contenir — à contenir une énergie, un souvenir, une tension. Le nom lui-même, "Chavon", s’est imposé comme une clé de lecture : un mot qui évoque à la fois l’exotisme et l’intimité.
Mon approche est intuitive, mais rigoureuse : je construis mes toiles couche après couche, laissant la texture affleurer, les couleurs se heurter ou se fondre. Je veux que l'œil voyage, que le spectateur se perde puis se retrouve.
