This work was created for inclusion in the exhibition "Maschere della Pineta." - published work -
A group exhibition where the protagonist is the Pine.
There is the one planted on Caprera by Giuseppe Garibaldi in 1867, in honor of his daughter Clelia, but there had already been the Neapolitan ones by Giacinto Gigante and Gabriele Smargiassi; there are the pines battered by storms by Giovanni Fattori and the perceptive triumphs of Paul Cézanne and… Paul Signac. There is the metaphysical pine by Carlo Carrà and the pine forests of Ravenna – once beloved by George Byron – on which the pastels and oils of Arturo Moradei and Vittorio Guaccimanni are consumed.
On display in Ravenna, in the exhibition hall of the A. Oriani Library in December 2025. The work is part of the cycles linked to nature and its protection and is made of lacquered wood applied to a contoured aluminum sheet.
Massimo Sansavini, painter, sculptor, and digital artist, stands out for his training in Ravenna and his extensive international exhibition history. He uses a unique technique of colored and lacquered wooden interlocking pieces applied to aluminum foil, creating works that blend painting and sculpture, often inspired by nature and social dynamics. His works exude a playful and disenchanted dimension, inviting the viewer to reflect on human relationships and rediscover the wonder of childhood.
