About this artwork
the white that covers the dynamism of the underlying colors, to symbolize a life that we must reclaim, the continuous search for balance with what we do every day, to try not to fall into the oblivion of everyday life. Giving a boost to an apathetic way of existing to give body to our deepest emotions, this is what this work symbolizes.
Each of my oil on canvas works is a long research, which starts from areas of color and then removes, digs, engraves,… until finding the essence of the painting.

Maurizio Paccagnella is an award-winning Italian painter and sculptor whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Morocco. Formerly a hyper-realistic artist, he abandoned this expression, as it has become too tied to formality and perfection. Paccagnella's artistic journey led him towards the path of abstraction, from which he creates blurred and evocative images that seem to "emerge from the memories of the time".
